Olympic Science Alliance
Cooperative K-6 Science Education Systems

The Olympic Science Alliance is a cooperative organization of regional school districts.  Its purpose is to provide a cost-effective curriculum support system along with an appropriate level of professional development support in order to foster the development of science education systems within school districts and regionally.

Meetings

  • Six times/year, October - June

  • Meetings are held simultaneously in Bremerton and Port Angeles, with videoconference access for remote districts

Projects

  • Science Alignment Leadership Institute (SALI)--Teacher Leaders are using Washington GLEs and standards-based resources to examine student development and document the "opportunities-to-learn" that are provided by the K-6 science curricula.

Current member districts include Bremerton, Brinnon, Cape Flattery, Chimacum, Crescent, North Mason, Peninsula, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Queets-Clearwater, Quilcene.
