Week 1 & 2 - First Rocks
How would a scientist investigate rocks?  How will rocks change if you put them in water?  What word best describes rocks? What are fossils?
How do scientists use tools?  How do rocks get to be different sizes?  How small is the smallest particle of rock?  How does water change clay? 
How do people use rocks?  How can sand be used?  What parts make up sandpaper?  
What parts go together to make good soil?  What does a soil scientist do?  Is soil in our school yard good or bad?
